What does this mean and why does it matter?


You may not care about either, however knowing your own style and being able to update it with certain fashion pieces will help you to develop in all sorts of ways.

Fashion is transient, it gives you a medium by which to express yourself, it’s constantly changing and every season there is a new trend delivered by Designers. Some people love to be in the latest fashion colours, wear ‘the Dress’’ of the season, or own the ‘it bag’, it gives them an opportunity to reinvent themselves each season.

Style is a conscious choice, it is developed and is a result of many influences including your lifestyle, travel, cultures, music, vintage era’s and comes from a quality within you. Personal style never expires it evolves and often if you’re not conscious of it, can take some time to figure out. Once you’ve defined it in words you can use fashion to translate it. Your style may change over the years, paying attention to it, renewing it and making adjustments to it will keep you empowered and relevant.

When you understand your style, you’ll be better informed on how you spend your money on clothing and outfits. If you’re expressing your style, don’t be afraid to spend money on quality pieces that speak to you. When you wear them a lot, the cost-per-wear will make them bargains.

The fashion world can be quite intimidating, that’s before you bring into play body insecurities, not knowing where to shop, not having the time or inclination to understand a bit more about what your ‘style’ is however, but using a few simple strategies you can gain a better understanding of yourself and you know what they say a little knowledge can go a long way!
